Hey dolls! So it’s been a while since I’ve posted for you guys and I just wanted to apologize for the delays. I’ve been going through a lot of great changes at work and have just found myself overwhelmed with activities both in and out of work. I am very thankful for these great opportunities that have come my way but I have missed my blog and especially my readers dearly. So I am back and ready to post on all the fun things I have discovered over the past couples weeks. I also want you guys to stay tuned for some great giveaways I am going to be hosting in the near future. I have PLENTY of goodies to give away and I can’t wait to host these contests as they are probably my favorite part about blogging.

Now with that being said, I wanted to talk to you guys about this fun new line created by famed accessory designer Tarina Tarantino that has recently launched at Sephora. Tarina Tarantino – also known as the “Queen of Irreverent Luxury” – has joined her passions for designing and makeup to create a line that girls of all ages can enjoy. Straight from The Sparkle Factory, Tarina Tarantino brings luxury, quality and sparkle to makeup.

My favorite product from the line is Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Shimmer Dust. From the beautiful bottle to the atomizer every little girl lusts after, this shimmer dust reminds me so much of Guerlain’s Holiday Sublime Radiant Powder but at a much more affordable price. It can be used on the face, body, or hair with any makeup look to add just the perfect amount of flirty shimmer. It sprays on lightly, doesn’t look overwhelming, and just comes in too cute of packaging to pass up. I really like this product and encourage you all to check out the rest of the line as well. It’s a lot of fun and really brings back those memories of playing with your mother’s vanity.

As a person that spends way too much money at Sephora, I have earned well over 500 points and decided to trade them in for this lovely set of three full sized Sephora by OPI nail polishes. This set includes Personal Shopper (rich vixen red), Dear Diary (warm light pink), and I’m with Brad (shimmering wine over dark coffee). New Year’s Eve Look

Happy First Monday of the New Year ladies!!! I just wanted to share with you guys some items I recently purchased from MAKE UP FOR EVER and incorporated into my New Year’s Eve look this past holiday. I am super excited about my recent purchases from Sephora.com and although I didn’t use all of them this time, I will definitely be using them together in the near future to show you guys. The colors actually come from their Fall 2009 look that I have been dying over for quite some time. I purchased two of their eye shadows (#92- Matte Brilliant Purple and #169- Iridescent Anthracite) and two of their Aqua Eyes liners (11L- Metallic Purple and 21L- Dark Metallic Grey). Aren’t they pretty!?! And don’t they just look like Big City Beauty colors?

Anyway, my boyfriend and I decided to take it a little easy this year and ended up ringing in the new year at our favorite French bistro in NYC, Deux Amis. So because we weren’t doing anything too crazy, I decided to keep my makeup look fairly simple. I literally used only two eye shadow colors, one eye liner, and mascara! It’s such a simple look that anybody can recreate it with ease. But most importantly, I was so happy to use some of my new MUFE digs.

I started with MUFE ES #169 in the outer corner/contour and blended in M.A.C. ES Crystal Avalanche from the inner corner. I lined my upper lids with MUFE Aqua Eyes 21L (which is literally the same color as the shadow) and the bottom lids with M.A.C. ES Crystal Avalanche. I used YSL Singulier Mascara and VOILA! My 2010 New Year’s Look was complete! I hope you like it and wish you all the Happiest New Year yet!

Laura Mercier Eye Book

Hey babes! I just wanted to share with you guys this new Sephora-exclusive from Laura Mercier. It’s called the Laura Mercier Eye Book ($45) and it’s the perfect little palette for any lovely lady. The palette contains two eye color quads (Gold Glisten and Silver Shine), two eye liners (Mahogany Brown and Black Ebony), as well as a mini double-ended eye color/flat eye liner brush. You can’t beat the price, as just the brush alone would normally make up for it. Plus, it’s perfect for doing makeup on the run and great for creating a variety of looks like the smoky eye.

Just note that the silvers are more of a blue-ish silver and the browns are more on the golden side. Also, don’t freak out if you get a powder eye liner in your palette as the liners need to be applied wet for a longer lasting look.
