BCB Looks Out For Your Safety

BCB Looks Out For Your SafetyHello lovelies!  I hope everybody had a great weekend.  Today I just wanted to talk a little bit about a concern I share with some of my fellow peers when it comes to clients disclosing information.  As any spa savvy person would know, most spas and technicians require a consultation or intake card with questions regarding skin or body concerns as well as any medications or health problems you may be experiencing.  Now of course there are privacy limitations on the questions that may be asked, but most businesses only require you to provide pertinent information.  This may include heart problems, any acne medications you may be on, or recent injuries.

These questions are important not only for the protection of the service provider but most importantly for your safety as well.  Failing to disclose the fact that you are on Accutane before receiving a brow wax (or any waxing service for that matter) could result in a missing eyebrow and then some!  And that is no joke!  I can’t even tell you how many instances fellow colleagues of mine have shared with me over people that either refused to share this information or simply just didn’t want to because they knew they would be denied the service.  Needing an eyebrow wax that desperately is definitely not worth it!  Trust me!

So just a word to the wise, make sure you let your service provider (whether they are an esthetician, massage therapist, etc) know of any contraindications you might think you may have.  You are much better safe than sorry.  And if your provider isn’t asking you these questions (which they should be), let them know about your concerns anyway!  Deal?  ;)   Great!

Until next time lovelies…  xoxo
